Stop letting your mental game ruin your golf rounds
You hit one bad shot...
then another...
and suddenly the round is gone.
The swing that felt automatic on the range disappears. You start thinking too much. Trying to fix things mid-round. Getting frustrated.
This isn't a swing problem. And it's not just "mental toughness."
There's a reason your brain does this under pressure -- and it’s often something that goes beyond what swing work or standard mental routines can address.
If this sounds familiar…
You've had rounds where everything unravels after one mistake
Your range game doesn't show up on the course
You start overthinking mid-swing
You get tense over short putts or key shots
You get stuck in negative loops during rounds
What’s actually driving this
Golf coaches fix your swing. Mental coaches give you routines.
But sometimes the problem runs deeper -- anxiety, attention patterns, over-control, performance identity, external pressures.
As a psychiatrist, I look at what's actually driving the pattern, and we look at how to manage it both on the course and within the context of your life outside of golf.
What We Work On
Pre-shot routine anxiety and the inability to quiet the mind between shots
The yips and movement-specific performance anxiety
Choking under pressure - what's happening neurologically and how to interrupt it
Intrusive thoughts or OCD-driven patterns that show up in golf
Inconsistency between practice performance and course performance
Identity and frustration around the game, when golf stops being enjoyable
The Golf Mental Performance Program
A structured 7-session starting point designed to build the mental foundation your game is missing. By going through the program, you’ll gain:
A deep understanding of what's actually breaking down under pressure
Skills in how to respond to performance stress
A reliable pre-shot routine unique to your style and game
Tools to reset between shots
An individualized plan going forward
How it works: We start with a full evaluation -- a real conversation about your golf, your patterns, and what's getting in the way. From there, we build a plan that fits how you play and what you're working toward as we embark through a structured program.
Ongoing Care: For golfers who want a longer-term relationship, integrating therapy, mental skills development, and medication management when indicated across regular sessions. The pace and focus evolve based on where you are in your season, your game, and your life. Follow-up sessions available after initial intake.
What changes when we work together
You stop trying to fix your swing mid-round
You learn how to reset after a bad shot
Your pre-shot routine becomes stable instead of fragile
You stop spiraling after mistakes
Your range game starts showing up on the course
